Entry level positions

01/12/2011

We are seeking to fill positions in two areas.  The Quantitative Analyst and Programmer roles are not mutually exclusive:

Quantitative Analyst

You will be responsible for developing algorithms which track or predict price changes across financial markets. An outstanding background in time series analysis, statistics, economics, digital signal processing, reinforced learning algorithms, portfolio theory, statistics or applied mathematics will be an important feature of your CV. Whilst experience in, or knowledge of finance theory would be highly useful, it is not essential. Programming will be an integral part of your job and you should have experience of at least one and preferably two of C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Scala, S-PLUS/R or Matlab.

Programmer

You will be responsible for designing and building an environment in which the Quantitative Analysts can design and build trading algorithms. You will be a "hacker". You will be able to program in four or more computer languages. You probably program for fun at home. You may have contributed to open source projects. You learn quickly and produce masses of beautiful code in a short period of time. User interface design experience is a plus. Your education may be computer science or ancient greek but at heart you are a geek.

Send a CV and a covering email describing yourself and your interest in the specific position and the financial industry as a whole to careers@cantabcapital.com.
